A Message from your Principal

In 2025, our school opened for Year 7 students. After planning for three terms it was incredibly rewarding to see the plans become reality as our foundation students walked through the school gates and into classrooms.

Wulerrp means tea tree. The tea tree is a hardy, resilient plant that thrives in a challenging environment. Learning is often challenging, and like the tea tree we want our students to grow and to thrive while facing the challenges and opportunities that education provides. We support our students to develop their skills and talents and want them to learn how to learn in order to become life long learners.

Our school values are based on the concept of Growth:

Growth: learning growth takes effort

Respect: we respect ourselves and all in our community

Opportunities: we participate and take up opportunities

Wellbeing: we look after ourselves and support others

Together: we learn harmoniously and collaboratively

High Expectations: we have high expectations of ourselves and what we can achieve.

Our school values are lived every day by students and staff in our experiences at school and in our broader life experiences.

We support our students to develop academically, socially and emotionally providing a challenging and supportive classroom environment using the Victorian Curriculum, where students develop skills in 21st century learning. An example of this is the STEM learning we offer in our brand new double story STEM Centre (opening in Term 3 2025).

We provide opportunities outside the classroom in sports and the performing arts as well as experiences in the outdoors, such as in our Year 7 Camp to a bush environment where students are also challenged physically with canoeing, ropes courses and bush walking.

Our student leadership program is established and enables students to apply for a range of roles as Captains, Vice Captains, SRC President, SRC member and House Captains. As well as providing opportunities for students to lead in school programs, we look for other opportunities to connect with community through student leadership forums and training.

Each year our school will grow by introducing another year level, until in 2030 we start with all six year levels, with our first year 12 students. What an exciting journey it will be!
